Re: ACS: CSMon Message: Test Timed out

Hi,

I recently setup an additional ACS server (running version 4) and set up replication.

Since this has been done I am recieving email alerts (below) and I'm not this has setup correctly.

1. Is there a good clean way to ensure the replication is working and all is set up ok?

2. What does the error below mean?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Event log message on primary ACS server:

The description for Event ID ( 5 ) in Source ( CiscoAAA ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: CSMon Message: Test Timed out for service: CSAdmin. Test Timed out for service: CSAuth. Test Timed out for service: CSDbSync. Test Timed out for service: CSLog.

Email alerts:

Test Timed out for service: CSAdmin
Test Timed out for service: CSAuth
Test Timed out for service: CSDbSync
Test Timed out for service: CSLog

Hi Steve,

You can check the replication failure of successful from reports and activity > database replication logs.

The logs"CSMon Message: Test Timed out for service" is describing the following process of CSMon:

CSMon periodically performs a test login using a special built-in test account (the default period is one minute).

Looks like CSmon is not able to perform the periodic authentication of its service.

I have checked replication logs, can't see anything obvious. Exported the log - below, hope this may help?

Is there something specifically I can look at in relation ot the built in account?
