ACS software interoperability

I'm going to migrate our ACS software to another server with other programs installed than the current server.

I'm trying to find any documentation if there are know problems with other installed software on the same server as ACS, but can't find any information.

May i assume that's no problem to install the ACS server on any server running any number of other software than ACS ?

We obviously can't, and don't, test every software package to see that it works with ACS. In fact, the Release Notes say:

----------------------------------------------------

Third-Party Software Requirements

The Release Notes provide information about third-party software products that we tested with Cisco Secure ACS and that we support, including applications such as:

•Web browsers and Java virtual machines

•Novell NDS clients

•Token-card clients

Other than the software products described in the Release Notes, we have not tested the interoperability of Cisco Secure ACS and other software products on the same computer. We only support interoperability issues of software products that are mentioned in the Release Notes. The most recent version of the Release Notes are posted on Cisco.com, accessible from the following URL:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_soft/csacs4nt/

index.htm.

---------------------------------------------------

In short, run what you like on the server, but if you run into what we think is an interoperability issue it won't be supported. Having said that, I run ACS on a server in the lab here that has a lot of other crap on it and it works fine, so you shouldn't have any issues. I'd be more careful with software like personal firewalls and virus software, other generic applications shouldn't interfere with ACS.

Thanks,

There won't be any "exotic" software running on the server ( besides Unicenter or so, you could call that exotic mallware :-) ? ).
