AnyConnect integration with ISE using old AnyConnect Premium license

If I have existing AnyConnect Premium licenses, I shouldn't need any requirement to upgrade these licenses if I want to use authentication/authorization of VPN users (via ASA) with ISE? So basic dot1x using PAP_ASCII will work on anyconnect premium licenses right? 

I will only really need to purchase the AnyConnect Plus license if using NAM as supplicant or client provisioning etc?

That is correct. As long as you are using non-mobile AnyConnect v3.x for VPN only. NAM is required for 802.1X/EAP so will not be entitled, however for IPSEC & SSL VPN customer typically use PAP/MSCHAP instead.
