Hi,

for a project we require the use of the nam supplicant (eap chaining), but the customer does not want that the vpn module is visible.

the nam module is dependant on the main anyconnect secure mobility client.

is their an option/parameter to hide the vpn dialogs from the end user?

greetings

Install the anyconnect base component like so :

msiexec /package anyconnect-win-ver-pre-deploy-k9.msi /norestart /passive PRE_DEPLOY_DISABLE_VPN=1 /lvx*

And the VPN function will be disabled, then install NAM

Hi Shaoqin,

Please provide more details about your reply, which settings needs to be changed..?

Tnx

Bart

Just checking to see if there is any workaround for this.

Two ways:

For pre-install: Do as noted above or here with more detail https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect41/administration/guide/b_AnyConnect_Administrator_Guide_4-1/deploy-anyconnect.html#ID-1425-0000030d

When downloading from ISE: https://community.cisco.com/t5/policy-and-access/hiding-anyconnect-vpn-module-from-anyconnect-gui/td-p/2760072

Note that if AnyConnect VPN was previously installed and there are existing VPN profile then you will need to manually delete it prior to posture module install. If there are any existing VPN profile, the VPN tile will be visible even with above steps.

Thank you, just to be clear I'm trying to hide the icon from taskbar, user doesn't required to notice for 802.1X Auth process.
