Categorization of IP phones

Hello,

I have a new ISE 2.7 installation with basic licenses.

I would like to ask if there is a way to automatically assing the IP Phones in a group base on their MAC address?

Regards,

Konstantinos

Dear Konstantinos,

As far as I know, with base there's no automatic endpoint assignment.
You can create a static endpoint profile policy that allocates all endpoints to a specific profile / identity group and use that as a condition on you policy. For my suggestion to work you should have enabled Plus license.

Hope that helps,

I think it's only possible via static assignment of MAC (Endpoint identity group). For it to be dynamic you'd have to have a profiled parent group which profiles these devices, that means Plus licensing.
