Hi,
We recently purchased the Cisco ACS 5.2 VMware to be installed on VMware ESXi 4.1. However, after provisioning the VM with the requirements stated in the Cisco install guide, the ACS is unable to start correctly.
We don't get any visible error messages, but when checking on the ACS processes, i see that the "management" process hangs in the "initializing" state.
Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
Thanks,
Gilbert

ESX 4.1 is not supported with ACS 5.1
The minimum system requirements for the virtual machine must be similar to the CSACS-1120 Series appliance hardware configuration.
Table 6-1 lists the minimum system requirements to install ACS 5.2 on a VMware virtual machine.
Requirement Type | Minimum Requirements |
---|---|
CPU | Intel Core2; 2.13 GHz |
Memory | 4 GB RAM |
Hard Disks | 500 GB of disk storage |
NIC | 1 GB NIC interface |
Hypervisor | VMware ESX 3.5 or 4.0 |

What about ESXi? Can I use ESXi 4 instead of 4.1? Thanks.
