Cisco ISE 2.6 Application server stuck at Initializing state

I have installed Cisco ISE in a Vmplayer workstation(Redhat 7) on a Ubuntu 18 IOS. The application server does not go to the running state and is just stuck in the initializing state. I have only a single node. I tried to reset configurations and start the application in safe mode, but no success. Did anyone face similar issues?

Have you given the VM enough resources? I've had this happen when I don't have enough CPU/Memory provisioned to ISE VM's on my laptop.
