How can I migrate/convert the configuration database from Cisco Secure ACS for Windows Server 2.x to Cisco Secure ACS for Windows Server 3.3.3 ? Can I import and export it after ? I need upgrade the ACS 2.x to some version intermediate first ? How can I do it ?
Thanks in advance

Hi
In past times, every new release of ACS could be installed over any previous release. This was great as migration simply wasnt an issue.
However, about 18 months ago someone decided to stop that practice and so 3.3 will now only install over (I think) 3.x at the latest.
So you need ask the TAC to give you CCO access to a 3.1 image. You can install this over your 2.x installation. Once upgraded you can then install 3.3 over that.
Long winded, but I dont think there is another solution - unless there is an undocumented hack to bypass the installer version checks.

Hi...
I made this migration in a customer
Follow the steps:
1 - Migrate ACS 2.x (Windows NT) to ACS 3.0x
(Windows NT/Windows 2000)
2 - Migrate Windows NT to Windows 2000
3 - Migrate ACS 3.0x to ACS 3.3
4 - You can migrate Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 too.
In this way, the migration was a success. I wait that it helps you.
