I am working with ISE version 1.3b.  It's been a while and I tried to log into the ISE gui with the prompt that the admin password has expired.  I then try to ssh in the cli and immediately get message to change my password:

You are required to change your password immediately (password aged)
WARNING: Your password has expired.
You must change your password now and login again!
Changing password for user admin.
Changing password for admin.
(current) UNIX password:
New password:
Retype new password:
passwd: all authentication tokens updated successfully.

after changing my password I am then kicked out and I ssh back in and get the same message as above and repeat the whole process....I am caught in this loop..I have changed passwords several times now and get past this point.

Hi,

Please boot the appliance from the DVD and select option 3 or 4 (based on whether you are connected via Serial Console or Monitor and keyboard) and you should be prompted for the new password.

The following document gives more information on the same :

Once you have reset the CLI password, you can reset the GUI password using the command:

application reset-passwd ise <administrator ID>

Kanwal
