H/w Version of ACS 3.2 having problems with RSA ACE

To any Cisco/RSA Gods :

We are currently having problems when setting up RSA ACE Token Server as an external authentication database. The software version simply allows the user to install the client and thereafter picks up the releavant dll. The hardware version is requesting approx 5 fields of information incl IP of ACE, Shared Secret etc.

I am constantly having the response of 'External Database Not Operational' from the 'Failed Attempts' reporting screen from within Cisco Secure.

To verify packets are being sent I have also checked by using Ethereal and it shows that depending on the authentication port used different UDP reponses are found. On top of this there are no failed attempts being generated on the ACE server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ACS uses the client to communicate with the ACE server. You must be able to do a test login to the ACE server via the ACE client before CiscoSecure will work.

If you suspect installation errors, the reinstall the product after stopping the CiscoSecure Services.

Make sure you back up your database. After the reinstall, go to "EXTERNAL USER DATABASES" and select "DATABASE CONFIGURATION" and then the specific token card. If no errors occur then it should work fine.
