Hello guys,

My customer wants to perform a hardware upgrade from 3495 to 3595 (PAN + MnT), version 2.0.1.

Can I backup the config from the 3495 and restore it to the 3595?

Thanks,

Thomas.

Yes, you can.  Two important things to remember:

A regular backup does not contain the Certificate Store and Private Keys.  Follow the steps at the link below to back these up and then restore them on the new Appliance:

Export Certificates and Private Keys

You can re-host your licenses onto the new SNS-3595 appliances quickly and easily.  Follow the steps here:

Re-Host Licenses

Though these steps only need to be completed on the Primary Admin Node (PAN), you need the UDI information from the Secondary Admin Node to properly Re-Host the Licenses.

Thanks Charles!
