Hello everyone,
I installed an ISE on a VM of vSphere before, and I bought a license for this ISE appliance from Cisco then registered it. However, I want to delete this VM and install ISE on another VM, but at that time because the UID of ISE will be changed, and the license I bought will be invalid. how can I solve this problem?

The supported method is to use the in-app backup tool. With it you can direct the backup to multiple supported external target types ftp, scp etc.).
Do do not try to use VMware snapshots. They will cause the server to fail and require restart.
If you shutdown the server gracefully you should be able to backup the vmdk manually but you would be unsupported going that route.

Hi,
Open a case with TAC to have the licence re-hosted.
Thanks
