Greetings,

Need to confirm if IBNS 2.0 is supported and operational on Catalyst 3560V2-24/48PS Switches specifically.

If so, what should be the IOS for them?

I am able to find it for generic 3560 and 3560-X in following document:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/ios-nx-os-software/identity-based-networking-services/index.html

As far as I understand, it should be supported post 15.x IOS code regardless of switch model.

Regards,

Aekaansh

A quick check to determine if it is capable is to run:

# authentication display config-mode
This command will return one of the following:
Current configuration mode is legacy
Current configuration mode is new-style
If it is 'new-style' then you are good to go. See here for more info: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/ibns/configuration/15-e/ibns-15-e-book/ibns-cntrl-pol.html
Good luck & HTH!

No, it's not supported. 3560V2 can run up to the IOS 15.0(2)SE train, I believe, while IBNS 2.0 requires 15.2(2)E train at the minimal. The site calls out specifically

Both are later than 3560V2.
