ISE 2.1 Reporting issue

harrypandian

We are using ISE 2.1 and I'm experiencing some inconsistencies with reporting. When I ran a report for last 7 days or choose a date range under custom, it would always give me less results and don't cover everything. I ran a specific report for my login and ran a report for specific date and it showed, where as this did not come up when I ran for a wider date range. I have attached some screenshot for better understanding. If someone faced similar issue and fixed it, please let me know. Thanks.

I would suggest working through TAC as likely there isn’t a fix available without looking at the database.

As Jason suggested, please work through TAC to track this issue.

There has been few issues reported for the inconsistency seen in the report. you might be hitting one of them . TAC can suggest the appropriate patch as well.

Thanks,

Nidhi

Worked with TAC on this and got a reply that ISE 2.1 patch 3 and below had a bug with reports. This bug was fixed in patch 4.

Jason,

Thanks for the reply. I'm planning on doing it but wanted to check with the community before I get to them. Is this a known issue with 2.1? We are planning to migrate to 2.3 soon and wondering if that would have a better reporting than 2.1. What do you think?

I will check with the expert on that but would recommend the TAC as they can investigate more deeply. I would recommend also evaluating 2.4 if you’re going to make a move. It should be soon our golden release (TBA). 2.3 is a short-term release

Thanks Nidhi. I have a case opened for TAC to investigate.
