I have a Cisco ISE 2.3 with no patch installed. Recently when I open the context visibility tab it gives me an error msg...
"Unable to load Context Visibility page. Ensure that reverse DNS lookup is configured for all Cisco ISE nodes in your distributed deployment in the DNS server(s). Exception: all shards failed"
I have checked the DNS PTR and it looks proper.
Context visibility was working before and suddenly it was giving the above error.

Not only did version 2.3 have some issues with Context Visibility, Flash was used on various pages of that release.
Since 2.3 is no longer supported (since 2019) I suggest upgrading to a newer release.

hello @viv42 , I would try to reset context visibility as the following document states https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/identity-services-engine-23/213610-ise-2-3-rest-sync-context-visibility.html, as others have said, I would go to a newer version of ISE in case the reset context visibility doesn't work .
Let me know if that helped you.
