ISE 2.4 with patch 12 - gc_app.log on disk

Hello,

I had to do an update on two ISE nodes running 2.4 patch 11 because of a bug telling that a disk or a partition is full.
From TAC I got the information that patch 12 will fix that issue.

Now I see a new folder on the disk:\ called "gc".

And there are a lot of log files in it called "gc_app.log.timestamp.count".

Does anybody know something about that?

Thanks!

They won’t flood the disk. They rotate everyday. You can ignore those files being present.

That’s a log file which logs garbage collection details from JVM to help troubleshooting java memory related issues.

So it is normal or can I disable it? Should I take care if I see a lot of these files?
And some process takes care that these file will not flood the disk space during time? :-)

Thanks!
