ISE 2.6 run show run cli, it hangs at 'generating configuration

I have a client running ISE 2.6.0.156 Patch 7 . When we run show run , it hangs at 'generating configuration.' It works before , and all applications are running.

- show application status ise (if not yet done), also look for performance bottlenecks on targeted host.

Found an old post where this was happening in ISE 1.3 and 1.4.

Fix was to disable cdp on GigabitEthernet 0

(no cdp run GigabitEthernet 0)

I was able to disable it temporarily, 'show run' starting working. Re-enabled CDP on GigabitEthernet 0, and 'show run' was still working.
