ISE 3.2 install on VmWare using ova file

We are currently at ISE v2.4 and want to get to v3.2 with the least amount of downtime, so we decided to spin-up a new ISE Vm using ova files.  Based on the install guidelines we have decided on (2) Medium-Large boxes. There are 2 different files in the Cisco Software Download Center with those specs (ISE-3.2.0.542a-virtual-SNS3615-SNS3655-600.ova and ISE-3.2.0.542b-virtual-SNS3615-SNS3655-600.ova).  Do I use both files or do I choose between the two files?  Not sure I understand the differences

@DaleSchulz2814 542a images are OVA templates for SNS 3600 series equivalent appliances and 542b equivalent SNS 3700 series equivalent specification.

Doh !  Thank you Rob ! So I need to use an ISO file instead? Should I delete this thread ?

@DaleSchulz2814 no if you are using Vmware you can use any of the OVA images, select the image according to what virtual specification you require.

No, there is no need to delete this thread, it may be useful to other to clarify the difference between 542a and 542b image.

One other question on this same thread if I can Rob .... We are using VmWare 8.0.2. I don't see anything in the documentation for the newer version (just ESXi 6.7 or 7.0).

@DaleSchulz2814 only the ISE 3.3 release notes mentions support for ESX 8.0 - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/3-3/release_notes/b_ise_33_RN.html

I would assume it's not officially supported on 3.2, you may wish to ask your Cisco Partner, Account Manager or call TAC to confirm either way.
