ISE backup and restore

I am building a new ISE deployment.
If I have restored a configuration onto a secondary PAN can I then set it to primary and add the desired PAN node as secondary then switch the roles to make the new non backed up node the primary ? Will the new node keep the configuration?

Depends on how you restore the backup. If you restore it using the "ade-os" option which restores the operating system settings including IP addressing as well as ISE application configs, then you cannot do that because in that case the secondary PAN will have the IP addressing as the primary. So just make sure please that you don't include that option and you should be good to go.
