Follow this guide for MS SQL - Configure ISE 2.1 with MS SQL using ODBC - Cisco

And the one for PostgreSQL -Configure ODBC on ISE 2.1 with PostgreSQL - Cisco

The main takeaway is that you will need to create the stored procedures that match your db tables.  The other is that the password checking must be done in clear text.

Is it possible to query a MAC Address that is contained in a CMDB accessible via ODBC query.

We did not find a way to pass MAC Address (Calling Station ID) received in Radius Packet to the stored procedure. Does this capability provide the generic ability to compare Radius Attributes from an authentication request.

Not a feature today. Please bring your use case to ISE product management team.
