ISE Guest Re-authentication issue with sleeping clients

Hi Dears,

We have configured the Guest wireless access with Anchor-Foreign WLC and ISE 1.3 and its working fine.

Authentication passed and users able to get the internet access with configured Guest SSID.

We have been facing an issue that users need to re-authenticate again if the client device went to sleep or the user stepped out and stepped in. 

In order to resolve the issue, we have increased the Idle timeout and enabled the sleeping client in WLC. But nothing worked as expected. 

Kindly provide your valuable feedback to resolve the issue.

Anchor Controller - 3650 Integrated WLC (3.7)

Foreign Controller - 2504 with version 7.6 (DMZ)

ISE - 1.3.0.876(Patch 3)

Hi Sarveswaran,

We had the same challenge. For our self service guests (Account duration 1 day) the way I got around it was to write a policy that matched on the Self Service Guest endpoint group and provide Internet access without any authentication. I then purged the group nightly. So it is only when the user first connects that they get prompted for authentication.

Could you solve the problem? He have a very same situation, with Anchor-Foreign WLC and with  LWA.

Every time user device wnet to sleep, need to authenticate  again.
