If I install a hot patch on ISE, when the next cumulative patch is released is it necessary to roll back the hot patch before installing the cumulative patch?
Yes, I always do a config backup before applying a patch of any kind. So if for example a cumulative patch required rolling back a hot patch, it would say so in the release notes for the major version/cumulative patch?
Hot patches are created out-of-cycle and not part of the general patch releases, so please check their README files or the teams provided them for additional info.
