If a customer is on ISE 2.1 Patch 6 and upgrades to ISE 2.2 Patch 8, are the losing all the bug fixes between 2.1 Patch 3 and Patch 7?
Resolved Issues in Cisco ISE Version 2.2.0.470—Cumulative Patch 8
Patch Parity : Cisco ISE 2.2 Patch 8 has parity with Cisco ISE 1.3 Patch 8, 1.4 Patch 11, 2.0 Patch 5, 2.0.1 Patch 4, and 2.1 Patch 3.
If ISE is running at 2.1 at Patch level 6, but if upgraded to 2.2 it would only be at patch level 3 (on 2.1) parity. Note that ISE is not currently running the latest patch level for 2.1, which is 7 currently. So, in a sense if ISE upgrade to 2.2 would it loose a lot of “fixes” in the process? I know it’s not exactly 1 to 1.
Have the release notes been updated to reflect the patch level?

We are working on it with our teams. However, patch parity is not playing much a role for ISE 2.2 Patch releases. As ISE 2.2 is the recommended release train today, we have been publishing patches every 1 or 2 months and we are addressing most critical issues in each patch release.
Please let us know if you or your customer have a question or concern on a particular defect.

This is likely a documentation error. We will check with the patch release team and get back.
In general, we would check for a specific defect and see which release/patch has the fix.

For confirmation, does all the patches include the ones before them?
Example all fixes in patch 1,2,3,4 all in patch 7?
cheers
