ISE SNS 3515/3595 10 Gigabit Interfaces

I am having requests more often for 10 Gig interfaces on the ISE servers as our customers are moving ISE servers into data centers with a larger majority of 10G interfaces than 1G.  Do we have a roadmap for when 10G interfaces will be supported in the new ISE platforms?  I understand that there are not many, if any, use cases that would require 10G in these boxes other than maybe SPAN for profiling but it is more of a connectivity problem rather than throughput.

Thanks,

Chad

Since this is a question of enhancement/futures, Cisco employees can reach out to PM team for roadmap info. Customers can engage their Cisco team to do the same on their behalf.

As noted, there is no reason ISE requires the higher speed NIC from an ISE services perspective and current appliances are fixed in their LAN configuration.  If require 10GB connectivity, the alternative would be to deploy as virtual appliance.

Hi,

Because SNS 3595 is a C220 server, can we use the 10G Fabric NIC which use in C220 in SNS3595?

Thanks,

From the perspective that the SNS 3595 is a mission-specific appliance, it should not be treated as a general UCS server that could have any UCS option plugged in and expect it to be supported.  With the exception of a secondary PSU in the 3x15 series, we do not QA nor do we support other hardware options (or 3rd-party software) that modify base configuration.  If goal is to support these other UCS options, then recommendation is to deploy them as a VM using the UCS.

As noted above, any changes to current configuration would be enhancement request.

/Craig
