Mix ISE Form Factor

Hi guys, would it be possible to have 1x server based ISE and 1x VM based ISE to be clustered? thanks

You can have distributed deployment mix of both Physical and Virtual

Virtual - make sure you have right compute allocated. ISE required good compute system to process.

The ISE doesn't really form a cluster. It's a combination of different nodes that work together. These nodes can not only mix physical and virtual appliances but also different sizes like small/medium/large as you need them.

your question is already answered, also make sure you check the hardware compatibility list for the software version you are installing. for e.g. newer version like 3.3 wont support old Gen appliances like 3500
