new username & pass not working after changing

My Cisco 2911. 3750 RTR & SW.. the  username & password not working after changing...what is the cause of the command not taking or being implemented NetworkingNetworking

Not enough details to assist here. Please explain your setup and scenario.

It also depends how the aaa authentication is being done. Is the aaa authentication local or via RADIUS/TACACS+ ? If local, and if other local accounts work, then there is no reason why the updated credentials shouldn't work.
