ISE is a locked down system. There is no way to gain root access without TAC support, so there is no way to manually free up space in the /opt directory.

The ISE application runs various services and containers to support the various features. There are strict requirements around CPU, Memory, and disk sizes that should be sufficient based on the scale of the cluster. From ISE version 2.7, the minimum disk size supported for any ISE node is 300GB. If you are using ISE 2.7 or higher, you would need to rebuild your ISE VM to resize the disk to meet the minimum 300GB required.

See the Install Guide for more details on the disk size requirements based on the deployment model (standalone, distributed, etc).

/opt is occupied with space for different  - depends on patches, software, what version ISE ?

check what is occupied in /opt

is this impacting ISE performance?

Yeah you are right. It is to high and heavy. But you could customize it through custom coding. As we have customized it for showing matches schedule by a developer. Who is expert in these coding etc. SO try to customize it as it will become short and will perform the same funtion which it is doing.

Hi Greg,

We had 180GB disk, we resized to 320GB and installed the 3.1p4 . All looks fine now
