Polycom VVX 500s, MAB, and DHCP Failures

I'm trying to test Polycom VVX 500s (which support CDP) authenticating via MAB and am having some very strange results.

  • Single host-mode: MAB is not performed per debugs, but the interface state goes up anyway. The LED is Amber, the Polycom gets an IP address from the Voice VLAN and is reachable on the network.
  • Multi-Auth host-mode: MAB authenticates the Polycom, LED goes green, but Polycom fails DHCP and is not in any VLAN.
  • Multi-Domain host-mode: same results as Multi-Auth
  • Multi-Host host-mode: same results as Single host-mode

I'm just wondering if anyone has seen this before. Any ideas why the phone is not getting on the Voice VLAN and failing DHCP when in multi-domain host-mode?

Did you ever fix this?

I seem to be having the same issues.

 

The phone is authenticated successfully but cannot get an IP address. it seems that the correct vlan isnt being used.
