Register a PSN to a cluster, and then deregister

I have a customer that is looking potentially at a deployment with 2 standalone in a cluster for HA (let's say box A and box B), and a third standalone independent from the first one (box C).

In order to automatically move the configuration from A/B to C, he asked me if it would be possible to register C to the cluster (as secondary PAN to have the config), and then deregister it and make it standalone. Would the configuration be kept, and would it be ok?

I know it is not best practice, and I am pushing for a more "standard" solution, but they asked me the question anyway, so I wanted to check if it would be ok to do.

That should work. You could also take a backup and restore it to the standalone server without having to mess with the production cluster.

Register C as a PSN and then de-register it. That should retain the A/B policy in C
