Hello Guys,
My company has 2 ISE in admin/secondary mode for PAN,PSN and MNT. I want to upgrade the ISE from 3.3 to 3.4 using upgrade/restore. When everything is ok, I plan to disconnect the production ISE and put the new ISE in production by changing the IP address.
Regarding the licenses, how can I rehost them ?
1-How can I restore the Virtual Machine licenses ?
2-How can i rehost the Essentials License
3- At which time should I restore both of them without impacting the production network ? Can I wait for 1 or 2 hours to make sure the new ISE are OK before rehosting the licences or I should do them before changing the IP ?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Install new Instance on new place use 90Days License, Once all working., move your smart License instance to new ISE nodes.

The suggestion by @balaji.bandi to use 90 day Eval for the new nodes is a good suggestion. Registering a new PPAN to Smart Licensing will still work even if you have exceeded your VM license count. And you can also violate your Essentials License count for 45 days in a 60 day period. So you're safe to go over the limit for a little while. Once the new ISE nodes are Smart License registered and the old nodes are powered off, log into your Smart License portal and just confirm that you are seeing the correct number of VM licenses consumed. I have noticed in the past that the old powered-down VM is still showing as active in Licensing Portal - if you have the same situation, you can safely delete the instance from Smart Licensing Portal.
