Reuse of 3395 appliance for Non ISE Purposes

Hi all

I have a customer that is going to upgrade from 3395's to 3595's

They understand that Cisco will not support re-use of these appliances for other purposes , but wants to know if for lab purposes they could re-image these 3395's and use them for example a Virtualisation host  ??? or do we somehow BIOS lock these appliances ?

Yes i confirm this ,we have 1 from old and we install vm on it  and work like  a charm.
