Hi,

I did IOS upgarde on an ACS instance and tried to register to the primary instance. I am getting an error message "unable to register due to invalid hostname or IP Address".

> The IOS is same as in primary.

> DNS is resolving both ACS instances IP Address.

> Tried with both super admin account (default and manually created)

Still I am facing the same issue. Related snap is attached.

Someone please assist me on this.

CSCum86626

Symptom:
After upgrade to acs 5.5 secondary server cannot register to primary server. we get the following error pop up on the secondary:

This System Failure occurred: Connection timed out Unable to register node. Possible cause of this exception is an invalid hostname or invalid ip address has been entered.. Your changes have not been saved.Click OK to return to the list page.

Conditions:
ACS server upgrade to 5.5

Workaround:
This issue is also seen a few times in previous versions of ACS.

As a workaround :

1 Install root patch and clear the firewall using the command "firewall -c" by going into the root.
2. Reboot the primary (this also clears the iptables)

Further Problem Description:
NA
