I want to upgrade the ACS from ACS 5.6 to ACS 5.8.
Current Version: 5.6.0.22.5
Plan
- Upgrade to ACS_5.8.0.32.tar.gz
- Patch 5-8-0-32-10.tar.gpg
I know there are additional steps involved- like de-register, change the log server, and so on. I just want to verify the software path and ensure there is no intermediate patch that I should be aware of.

Cisco recommends that you first update your ACS 5.6 to the latest patch (5.6.0.22.7) before moving to 5.8:
https://www.cisco.com/web/software/282766937/117184/Acs-56Patch7-Readme.txt
However between patch 5 (your version) and patch 7 (the latest) none of the minor bug fixes pertain to upgrade issues so you should be OK without it.
5.8.0.32.10 is currently the latest patch and would be your target version.
Of course ACS is end of sales and you should be thinking about a replacement (e.g., ISE).
