3845 syslog repeats every 20 sec to syslog server, only once local

Hi

I got a new Cisco 3845 under my adminsitration.

For some special events I do automated actions (e-mail's) from Cisco Works 2000.

One is if power supply fails.

Problem now is, tha a ps fail message will be repeated every 20 seconds to syslog server - but local log on router only once.

Is this behaviour configurable ?

So what is the issue?

> You expect the issue is in device and it is generating less syslog for PS on console/telnet and sending many times to LMS server.

> Or you receive many emails from LMS server and when you cross check on device the error on device buffer syslog.

What anyone would be interested in looking at is :

- the device syslog config

- email you receive from LMS (to check if it is from AA or DFM)

It may be that DFM is sending you a lot of alerts.
