4500 VSS Optics

Hi,

I have running 2 4500 switches with VSS and 3 10G uplinks, each one using a SFP-10G-AOC5M to connect. We need to relocate one of this switches to another IT site not far, but the cables using right now are not suited for the distance. I was thinking about replacing this SFP-10G-AOC5M for the SFP-10G-SR. If im correct there is no need to change the configuration of the VSS in the switches, because this change has no impact to VSS, am i correct?

Any information and/or recommendation will be appreciated .

Hi

The SFP you planned are correct if really not far away (depends on the distance). No changes are needed, it's just physical connectivity.
What about the dual-active link? Is it in 1G fiber already?
