4507 VSS power off standby switch

I have VSS setup and its working fine. Now I want to power off the standby switch so that we can reuse it other new location. I understand that there is a process of breaking the VSS config but it requires a downtime on both switches. Which I am trying to avoid esp in the active switch.

Question, if i power off the standby switch, is the data traffic that passing thru the active switch will be affected?

Please note that all of the interfaces in standby sw are in shutdown state except for all of the vsl cables that connect between the switches.

Presumably following this document up to Step 4 (in your case), will result in no impact on user-data traffic.

best is the convert them back to standalone mode - if the second unit permanently going out of VSS.
