Hi,

I have a 6500 that is logging most activity from what I can tell. Acl entries are logged and I can see when login attempts occur. However, when an interface changes states there is no logging enrty.

Here is my logging config.

logging userinfo

logging buffered 100000

no device-tracking logging theft

logging enabled

logging size 500

ip ssh logging events

ip access-list logging interval 10

logging source-interface loopback 0

logging host x.x.x.x

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Leo, thanks for your response.

If this is required its new to me. I have other switches that do not have this command that are logging interface down.

Only Catalyst 4k and 6k do not have interface logging.
Catalyst 2k and 3k do (default).

Leo, thank for your response. I did not know that.
