Dear all,
Recently we had a few issues with anti virus software (like McAfee) in combination with CiscoWorks. Eventually we have uninstall the Anti virus to get the best working server. Is there any document (best practices) we may can use to neglect these issues on Win2003 software.
Thanks beforehand,
-Aryan

Just turn off on-access scanning for NMSROOT (e.g. C:\PROGRA~1\CSCOpx). CiscoWorks should then work fine with McAfee installed.

Thanks Joe.
Does this apply to other Anti Virus programs?

Yes, it applies to all AV applications. Internally, we have tested Norton and McAfee (more ad hoc testing than thorough testing) and both work well with LMS when NMSROOT is excluded from on-access scanning.
