AP operational status on WLC

Hi, 

I would like to verify what are the operational status that AP can be in relation to the WLC.

Once an AP is joined, does it mean that the AP is also registered?

Can an AP be registred but not joined?

What is the meaning of disassociation? does it mean that the AP is not Joined and not registered?

Yes

This terminology is used for clients, not AP's

Nothing more to say about the answers from @marce1000 
he is right in every point.

Just asking, do you currently have problems with the joining of APs to your WLC?

When you see them in the WebGUI of the WLC under 'Advanced -> Wireless' Section, they are up and joined, or still in the "Downloading" Phase, where they fetch the OS to run from the WLC.

You can also get to the CLI and issue "#show ap join stats summary",
they it should say "joined" if the AP is there.
And either nothing for the given AP if it was never joined,
or "not joined" if it was joined once, but now not anymore.

On the AP itself (if you can access it over SSH) you can also check the Status of the CAPWAP tunnel towards any given WLC.
