That depends on the wireless clients.
Wireless client make the ultimate/final decision which AP to join.
Old wireless drivers are infamously known for making the worst decision about roaming.

I had a single 1142 service 98 wireless clients. Daily. No complaints.
The performance of the 1142 is a shadow of what the 4800 can do. Bigger CPU, memory, FRA and mGIG. FRA and mGIG play an important role to minimize congestion.
