Hi,

I need to archieve configuration for cisco pix 525 and 515 through CISCO LMS 3.0.1.

To login in to the pix, we are using tacas and secureid.

My question is : Do we need to configure local username and password to fetch the configuration.

and if so, then please let me know where in DCR i have to configure username and password.

Your reply will highly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Samir

If you are using SecureID, and a rotating token, entering credentials in DCR will not work since those credentials will change each time they are used.  In this case, there is no way to automatically fetch the config from these devices.  RME cannot use job-based passwords to fetch configurations, and firewalls do not support SNMP read-write operations to do an SNMP/TFTP fetch.  The only way to make this work would be to configure some static, local credentials on the PIX, then add those credentials to DCR under Common Services > Device and Credentials > Device Management.
