ASR 1002-X upgarde steps

Dear Cisco Community,

I have to upgrade two Cisco ASR 1002-X Routers.

Current version is: :asr1002x-universalk9.17.03.05.SPA.bin

Version to upgrade to: asr1002x-universalk9.17.06.05.SPA.bin

Current Rommon version is     17.3(1r)

Can I upgrade direct from above current version to suggested upgrade version i.e. from 17.3.5 to 17.6.5.

Or is there any upgrade path for this.

3. If there's any upgrade path, please do share the upgrade path for my current version to suggested version i.e. from 17.3.5 to 17.6.5 (and also the rommon software package).
 Please share the upgrade steps as I could not find it the documents

should I use the command boot system flash ?

Check the minimum recommended Rommon version for you targeted Firmware:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr1000/rommon/asr1000-rommon-upg-guide.html.

With 17.3.1 it seems OK.

I have a similar request. My ASR1002-X is currently running asr1002x-universalk9.03.16.05.S.155-3.S5-ext.SPA.bin with a ROMMON ver System Bootstrap, Version 15.3(1r)S, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1). What is the correct pathway to upgrade to IOS XE ver asr1002x-universalk9.17.06.07.SPA.bin and ROMMON ver asr1000-rommon.173-1r.SPA.pkg. Do I need to upgrade to intermediate versions prior to desired end version? If so, what versions and their order?

Please read Cisco ISR & ASR 1k Routers: IOS-XE/Firmware Upgrade (Install Mode).

IMPORTANT:  Regardless what the Release Notes say (or mostly not) always upgrade the ROMMON first.
