backup job

my weekly backup job is failed, but there is no log for today's job on bdbackup.log to find the error. on my back up directory, one new big file created bt Ciscoworks name of the file is "size" looks like back info.

is there anybody know what's this "size" file.why is there is not log?

This file is created only on Solaris to calculate the total size needed for the backup. It should contain the output of ls -lR of each backup target. If the file is still there, it means the backup script was improperly terminated (e.g. kill -9, reboot, etc.). This could also explain why a log was not created.

thanks, I think something happend. " backup_lock" also there. so is it safe to remove both files before next backup job?
