Hi, The following query is to see which low/zero cost solution can be used for a simple up/down ICMP monitor.
We do have a major instance of solarwinds, hpov, cw etc at our primary DC.
But, thinking about a very lowscale monitor that does just basic ping up/down at our DR site (latency, bw throughput would be great, but i realize this is to be free!)
THis under the assumption that if the primary DC goes down (there go all our network monitors). Our user traffic will be designed for DR. But, at the dR site, would be good to have some kinda healthcheck and network monitor in place.
zabbix, nagios seem to be unix based. is anyone aware of similar solution on windows (freeware, gpl with no licensing).
