Best Practices for Routers and Switch Implementation/Selection on a Hospital with 480 endpoints Environment?

Hello,

There is a hospital with two campuses,

so we have one MDF and one IDF

we have to serve 480 endpoints(workstaions) and couple of servers

1)What appliances(model and series of Cisco) is best suit this scenario if want to buy new appliances,

can you give me the exact quantity/model/series of the switches on each layer access, distribution and core (I don't even know if we need to have Core and Dist separated)?

do we need routers at all?

2) when should we consider router over a MLS switch? in what type of environment?

3) in real world hospitals at this scale, do they use ASA at the edge or just directly connected to the ISP?

thx a lot

Not enough information.
Better contact a VAR so they can size up the network gear properly.
