C9407R Power requirements with APC UPS

Hi all...just purchased a new C9407 to replace 4507R-E. I was hoping to re-use my existing 2 APC smart UPS which the 4507 plug into directly. I am currently using the 2 20A outlets on each UPS to power the 4507.

My question is could I utilize the 2 30A outlets for the newer C9407 switch along side the 20A outlets? Looking at the guide for the switch I don't see 30A mentioned:

If one was to use an L6-30P to L6-20R Plug Adapter (30A to 20A) could the setup work or would it be detrimental to the switch, the power supply should only draw required power if I'm not mistaken.

First the disclaimer: I'm not an electrician.

Yes, on the APC you can use the 30A along with the 20A receptacles on the UPS. The obvious result will be the battery will drain quicker as it will have a larger load.

Yes, with the proper adapter you should be able to connect the 20A plug into the 30A receptacle. The seem to be readily available. It should not hurt anything as you will be drawing less than what the outlet can provide. Always a good thing.

The only thing not optimal here is that the UPS could supply more than the rated 20A if something where to go wrong. However, I'm not sure what that would be, and I would assume the power supplies have their own protection circuitry.

Hope this helps
