Can't access WS-SVC-NAM-2 module through http or telnet

Hi ,

i try to access to WS-SVC-NAM-2 module in the Switch 6509. But is not work although the http port is enabled (I tested with the command

telnet  @ip 80).

I try telnet access to the module to check the config , but I always the message that the login / password is wrong even though they are valid.

Any suggestions?

Please enable this commad on the NAM and see how it work:

ip http server enable

thank yoou for your help ,

but when I try telnet access to the module to check the config , I always the message that the login / password is wrong even though they are valid. (So I can not verify this command )

when i do "telnet @IP_module 80"  in my PC , i can access to module via telnet ( it can prove that the port 80 is open)

HI Try this :

WS-SVC-NAM-2 Password Recovery Procedure:
The default CLI password for the NAM is root/root (all lower case).
 
To recover the NAM CLI Password:
 
CatOS: "clear module password " from the switch enable mode
IOS: "clear module pc-module  password" from the switch enable mode
 
To recover the Web GUI Password:
For NAM's Web GUI admin password, you can reset it again from the NAM CLI
using the NAM CLI command "rmwebusers". 
 
Here's an example:

root@6K# rmwebusers
 
WARNING: Doing this will stop the web server and remove
all locally defined web users from web user database.
 
Are you sure you want to continue (y/n) [n]? y
 
Disabling HTTP server...
Successfully disabled HTTP server.
 
All locally defined web users have been
removed from web user database.
root@6K# ip http server enable
Enabling HTTP server...
 
No web users are configured.
Please enter a web administrator user name [admin]: admin
New password:
Confirm password:
 
User admin added.
Successfully enabled HTTP server.
root@6K#
