Our current CW2K server is running Java 1.4.1, but our workstations (XP) are running 1.4.2 which is required for other applications we run.
Can our version of CW2K be upgraded to Java 1.4.2 so we can all access it from our desktops? We currently have Common Services 2.2, Campus Mgr 3.3, and RME 3.5 installed. I recently joined this team, and found out unfortunately that even though we purchased CW, we did not purchase support for the software, thus my problem.
Any assitance would be greatly appreciated.

CW2K/LMS 2.2 must use 1.4.1_02. If you access the CW2K server with your clients, CW2K should install the version it needs without overwriting your 1.4.2 version. You can have and use multiple versions of Java with IE. Access the Advanced tab under Tools, scroll down to Java (Sun) and remove the check mark for "Use Java 2 v1.4.1_02 for...."

Thanks Steve. I checked with a co-worker who is also running XP on his workstation, and he said running multiple Java versions for him caused issues, and I had heard that before. Is there a setting somewhere in Windows that will point a program such as CW2K to one version, and another program to another version of Java? Just unchecking the box in IE probably won't do it.

From Cisco's VMS Faq (while we're not discussing VMS, the fact remains: VMS 2.2 requires 1.3.1 & LMS 2.2 Requires 1.4.1_02 and I can access both servers with both versions of Java loaded on my WinXP/SP2 system):

Steve, We are running SP1 here, and have not gone to SP2. Could that make the difference?
Anyway, I'll try it and see. Thanks for the help.
