Cannot snmpwalk Cisco 93180YC switch for BRIDGE-MIB OIDs

Hi,

When i try running snmpwalk against 93180YC switch using BRIDGE-MIB OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.17.4.3.1.2, it fails.

I get an error “No such object available on this agent at this OID”..

I ran "show snmp context" and it listed all vlans. Does 93180YC  support Bridge-MIB? I am trying to use SNMP to figure what device is connected to what port.

thanks

Hello,

which IOS release are you running ?

Use the Cisco Feature Navigator to find out if your release supports that MIB:

https://cfnng.cisco.com/mibs

We are using NEXUS 9000

Hello,

NX-OS is not in that tool, unfortunately.

I found the below:

https://cisco.github.io/cisco-mibs/supportlists/nexus9000/Nexus9000MIBSupportList.html

aha. it shows CISCO-BRIDGE-EXT-MIB. i will try this tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks much

Hello,

i see the Bridge-MIB listed, but for version 6. So, is there a way to install it?

In general, I am looking for a way to figure out a port number given MAC address or a IP address of a server attached to that port.  When i run brute force snmpwalk against a the switch  like  "snmpwalk sw1 | grep 192.xx.x" , i do not see neither IP adddress nor MAC.

thanks

Hi,

so does Nexus 9000/3000 support a MIB that shows MAC of a device attached to a port?
