Cannot upgrade firmware on CISCO SG200-50 switch (illegal format error)

Hi there,

I am trying to upgrade the firmware on a Cisco SG200-50 switch via HTTP/HTTPS

When I try and update the firmware to the latest version (1.4.11.5)

I am getting an "illegal format" error when I use HTTPS. The filename is sx200_fw-14115.ros and it was downloaded from the Cisco website at:

https://software.cisco.com/download/home/283771828/type/282463182/release/1.4.11.5

The switch firmware is at : 1.1.3.1

Can you let me know how to get the firmware to the latest version?

You can not go directly to that final version you need to go with step upgrade.

1.3.7 and then 1.4X

I've already tried sx200_fw_1.3.7.18.ros and same problem happened .

Not sure if they have any version like trying 1.2X then 1.3 and 1.4

I have tried almost all versions

Not sure what went wrong  " "illegal format" " as per this error concern, the firmware not recognising.

i have seen people upgrading this forum as same issue, but upgrading to stepwise made them sucess.
